Herb Levart

Three Decades- 60s, 70s and 80s- of Photo Journalism

A professional photographer for thirty-five years, Herb Levart won the Certificate of Excellence in Communication Graphics for 1975-1976, awarded by The American Institute of Graphic Arts as well as The Art Directors Club 57th Annual Photographic Exhibition Merit Award for 1978.

Among his portrait subjects are politicians Adlai Stevenson, Hubert Humphrey, Arthur Schlesinger Jr., and Prime Minister Indira Ghandi of India and celebrities such as Sammy Davis Jr., Carol Burnett, Annette Funicello, Gary Moore and Lauren Bacall.
