Friends of the Greenburgh Library
The Friends of the Greenburgh Library is a non-profit, all volunteer organization, whose purpose is to promote the interest and welfare of the library as an educational, cultural and recreational asset to our community. We do this by focusing public attention on library services, facilities and needs.

The Friends:
FUND major furnishings and equipment such as the Library’s
- Piano
- Multimedia projector
- Video drop
- New furniture in the Children's Library
SPONSOR children's programs and adult cultural events, including
-
Musical Munchkins, one of the Library’s most popular programs,
which provides enrichment for babies and young children.
- Art Lectures, on special exhibitions, led by Metropolitan Museum of Art staff.
- Film Series, screenings of independent films, followed by discussions led by a moderator.
UNDERWRITE hospitality at special meetings and events
ORGANIZE and run major book sales and a Freinds Corner Bookstore in the Library
SUPPORT staff enrichment and recognition
SPONSOR a literacy tutor training program

Our 2013 Book Sale has been scheduled for Saturday, October 5 through Tuesday, October 8. Our Members ONLY preview will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 5 PM. Your membership allows you first pick from tens of thousands of great books
