Celebrate National Wear Red Day on Friday, February 3rd.
Join GPL staff and wear red in honor of women who suffer from Cardiovascular disease.
According to the American Heart Association, one in three women will die from cardiovascular disease and stroke each year, which is approximately one woman every eighty seconds. National Wear Red Day promotes awareness of these diseases and teaches women to know the five numbers: Total Cholesterol, HDL (good) Cholesterol, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, Body Mass Index (BMI). Knowing these numbers can help prevent the chance of cardiovascular disease. We hope to see you all in red tomorrow!
