Spanish Speaking Librarian Diana Lennon is available to interpret for patrons/staff in the Circulation, Reference, and Children’s Departments. Patrons may request a library tour in Spanish or request Diana’s assistance at any time.
The library offers a variety of programs in Spanish, including a weekly English-Spanish Conversation Group, Technology Coaching, cultural events and Hispanic Heritage Month events. A highlight of the summer is the annual Cafe a las Siete/Coffee at Seven series which presents Latino music, dance, and art programs. Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated with a variety of programs that promote Latino heritage. Circulo de Lectores is a monthly Book Club where books by Latino and Spanish authors are discussed in Spanish.
The Library maintains an up to date collection of fiction and non-fiction books in Spanish, mainly focused on original writing but also including translations. An ESOL and Literacy collection are available for use by patrons, and a Citizenship Center provides resources and information for patrons.

English Spanish Conversation Group
The library offers an English-Spanish conversation group that meets on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 to 3:00. Improve your Spanish conversation skills. Basic Spanish needed to participate. Any questions please call Diana at (914) 721-8235.
