For several summers the Greenburgh Library has enjoyed the quiet teaching of a master painter from China. Sponsored by the Evergreen Group of Chinese Elders, Master Xi-Hua Zhao has offered his skills of Chinese brush painting to others 55 and older. Now patrons can enjoy a collection of small works on display in the glass cases on the 2nd floor. Over 50 years of practice and artistic mastery are exhibited in these small works. With a passion for the traditional use of the brush and a specialty in landscape and bamboo there are over 20 works and brush painting tools on display. He never lost his artistic voice even after a successful business career and raising a family. Now Master Zhao shares his culture and small brush paintings with American audiences.
