Reserve an Item
To reserve an item, you first need to search the Westchester Public Library's catalog. Have your library card handy.
Westchester's online catalog
Follow the link above. Then, enter your search term, choose, "Keyword", Title", Author", or "Subject" from the drop-down menu and click "Search."
After you have found your item, click on the "Place Hold" link associated with your choice.

Renew Your Items
To renew items that you have checked out, follow the link below and choose "My Card & Renew Items" from the choices. Have your library card ready and type in the barcode number to gain access to your account.

Then choose "Items Out" to see a list of all items currently checked out on your card. Select (click on) the item(s) you wish to renew and then click on the "Renew" button.
You can use Westchester Library System's automated renewal at (914) 674-4169.

Accessing Your Account
By accessing your account, you are able to see the status of your account, review the items that you have checked out, renew items and place holds on items.
In order to access your account, first go to Westchester's online catalog select "My Card & Renew Items" and type in the complete barcode from your library card.

The Greenburgh Public Library would like to introduce...
LibraryELF, an independently-run service, not affiliated or associated with Westchester Library Systems (see below). LibraryElf is a web-based email tool for library users to keep track of their library borrowings for one or more library accounts. Great tool for helping parents keep track of multiple cards. Through email, RSS feed or text message, LibraryELF will send out reminder notices of when your items are due, before they are due and will also notify you when your holds are available. You can not reserve or renew items through the LibraryELF program, for that you must use WLS. LibraryElf does let you know what's due, overdue or ready for pickup from one or more library accounts.
