Starting this month Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture in Pocantico Hills is changing the way people can visit the farm. The Center is introducing new activities, tours and demonstrations designed to engage each and every visitor in a whole-farm experience.
Because the volume of visitors on weekends in recent years has been so great and was having a negative impact on operations and educational opportunities, Stone Barns this month moved to a ticketed admission system. Adult entry on a Saturday or Sunday is now $20 for adults and $10 for children. Admission fee includes participation in a variety of seasonal, hands-on activities and tours.
The Greenburgh Public Library has a free family pass (two adults and up to four children) available to Greenburgh library card holders for Saturday or Sunday.
You may reserve the pass online here (or look for the Stone Barns Passes link on the right side of the library home page). Once you’ve reserved your pass, it can be picked after 10 am on the Thursday prior to your visit date. It must be returned to the adult reference desk at the Greenburgh Library by 8:45 pm on the following Tuesday.
The library is very excited to be helping our community residents experience all that the Stone Barns Center has to offer!
